Jules will introduce you to the skills needed to make your very own set of 925 sterling silver & copper wavy, straight or scalloped bangles from start to finish using techniques including sawing, soldering, shaping, sizing your rings and finishing. Courses take place in Sea and Solders workshop in Corfe Mullen, Dorset. These 3 hour taster sessions are perfect for anyone to come along and learn the art of silver jewellery making. It makes for a perfect for a gift for someone that you just don't know what to get, or book yourself on and bring a friend or family member with you. On this course you can make a hammered bangle or choose to make a wavy or scalloped bangle. The price of the course includes tuition as well as the use of the workshop, tools and a follow up email with images of your work and a list of equipment needed if you wish to try this at home. Sterling silver and copper are available for purchase on the day. The exact cost of the materials will depend on the size and weight of the bangle/s you choose to make on the day, however material costs for an average 2mm silver bangle will be from approximately £16 and 2mm copper bangle £6. At the end of the course your bangle or bangles (max 3 due to time) will be weighed and the extra can be paid on the day. All silver used on Sea and Solders courses is 100% recycled. Refreshments, snacks and silver are all included! Aprons are provided but please wear closed toe shoes and bring glasses if you need them. If you wear glasses please remember to bring these with you. Wear closed toe shoes and long hair will need to be tied back. If there are two or more of you interested in attending a course and this date does not suit you please pop me a message to discuss alternative dates and times. Please note this workshop will run with a minimum of 2 people (max 4). If not enough people book into the course you will be offered an alternative date and time or refund.
