Sea & Solder offers a one day taster course where you can create your very own bezel set silver seaglass ring. Learn basic silver smithing skills like sawing, filing, soldering, and finishing in a fun and engaging workshop setting. Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your existing skills, come join us to unleash your creativity and make unique pieces inspired by the beauty of the ocean. Check out our photos for examples and get ready for a memorable experience at Sea & Solder! Hands-on jewellery making courses in Corfe Mullen, Dorset. Starting at 10am and finishing by 4.30pm, with a lunch break included, this experience is perfect for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. With small classes of up to 4 students, you'll receive personalized attention. Bring your own seaglass (Jules will assess its suitability) or select from Sea & Solder's collection. Choose to create your own seaglass ring or alternativley opt to make a bangle or cuff for an additional charge of £20. Enjoy a fun and relaxed day in our garden workshop, where you'll be greeted with a hot drink upon arrival. Our workshop also features an corner with unlimited tea and coffee to keep you energised throughout the creative process. The course price includes tuition for the day, a handpicked piece of sea glass, enough silver for your seaglass ring, and full access to our workshop and suitable tools. Seaglass can be from 5mm to 2.5cm wide (see photos for examples). With a focus on attention to detail, our service ensures that your ring is created within specific size limits and designs, guaranteeing a well-finished piece that reflects your individuality. We also have a treasure box of cabochons, semi-precious flat-backed stones, available for purchase on the day to use as an alternative to seaglass. Our courses use 100% recycled silver and provide refreshments and snacks for a comfortable experience. We provide aprons for your convenience, just remember to wear closed toe shoes and tie back long hair. If you wear glasses, please remember to bring them with you.
